Safety Standards

Our Trade Partners are required to develop and implement a written Health and Safety Program as applicable by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

As a Trade Partner of Cresco, all work activities performed under your direction must be in accordance with, and ideally exceed, Provincial Health and Safety Regulations and Legislation.

All Trade Partners must adhere to or exceed all aspects of Cresco's Contractor Health & Safety Guidelines.

All contractors must ensure their workers are trained, competent, and well-orientated with Cresco's sites before performing their work activities. They must also be equipped and use the necessary PPE and safety equipment.
Cresco Standards
1. Cresco is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace through the active participation of our employees and all contractors on all projects.
2. All Trade Partners must provide proof of general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance.
3. Cresco's Trade Partners must provide proof of OHS training for all contract workers and sub-contractors re: first aid, fall protection, heights etc.
4. Contractors must conduct regular reviews of safety requirements.
5. All Trade Partners must be verified and in good standing with the Workers' Compensation Board.
6. Documented Hazard Assessments must be completed prior to the commencement of any work and be clearly available on-site for review.
7. Trade Partners shall have regular safety meetings with their employees.
8. Fall Protection Plans and procedures must be developed by the Trade Partner for all work on Cresco job sites.
9. All tools and equipment used must be in good repair.
10. Incidents (including near misses) must be reported immediately to Cresco's Construction Supervisors.
11. All individuals are expected to report to our job sites fit for duty and without limitation due to the use or aftereffects of any substance that may impair judgment or performance.
12. Cresco has zero tolerance for any form of harassment or violence on job sites.
13. While performing work the appropriate protection of humans, animals, plant life, air, water, and soil shall be always considered.
